Preconﬁguration Information

The SMART controller only supports SCSI disk drives. SCSI tape drives and

CD-ROM drives are not supported.

The boot device must be logical drive 0 on the primary controller. Even though the

BIOS lets you conﬁgure any controller as the primary controller, it will only let

you boot from logical drive 0 on that controller.

Known Problems and Limitations

If you want to change the RAID conﬁguration, ﬁrst delete the old conﬁguration

information using the EISA conﬁguration utility. If you physically move the disks

before deleting the RAID conﬁguration (or the partition information on the logical

drives), you may not be able to boot your system.
