PowerQuest Drive Image 13
If desired, you can enter a path to specify removable media, such as a CD-R drive or
Zip drive. (You cannot browse to a CD drive from within QuickImage. Instead, type
the full path and filename to specify a CD-R or CD-RW drive.) If QuickImage does
not recognize the drive letter when it is time to create the image file, you will be
prompted to browse for the drive. After you locate it, the drive will be saved, and you
will not have to browse before creating subsequent images.
If you are saving to floppy disks, be aware that drive letter A: is temporarily assigned
to the virtual floppy used to boot QuickImage. Save to B: to save the image on floppy
disks.
3
(Optional)
Type a brief description about your image file in the Image Description
field.
4
Click Select Partitions.
The Select Source Partitions screen appears. It is a graphic display of the hard disks
in your machine.
5
Select the partitions you want to include in the image file from the partition list.
To select multiple partitions, hold down the Control key while clicking partitions in
the list. (To select multiple partitions without using the mouse, use the arrow keys to
highlight the partitions you want, then press <Ctrl + Spacebar> to select each
partition.)
The partition where the image file will be stored cannot be selected. If your computer
has one hard disk formatted only as drive C: (one partition), you must save image
files on removable media.
