Before You Install the Card

CAUTION Your PC and SCSI adapter card can be permanently damaged by

static electricity. Before handling the card, touch the unpainted part

of your PC’s metal chassis. Maintain grounding by wearing a wrist

strap attached to the chassis. Handle the card by its backplate and

top edge. Do not touch the edge connector.

This manual describes how to install the Ultra160 SCSI adapter card

for operating systems supported by HP:

• Windows 98 Second Edition

• Windows 2000

• Windows NT 4.0

• Windows XP (when available)

Instructions on installing the Ultra160 SCSI adapter card for

MS-DOS (5.0 and above) can be found in the readme text file

provided on the drivers CD-ROM.
